Cranberry Whipped Boursin Dip

Cranberry Whipped Boursin Dip

  • Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 package (5.2 ounces) Garlic and Fine Herbs Boursin cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream or whole milk
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries, roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves, plus extra for garnish
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest, freshly grated
  • 1/4 cup toasted pecans, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Ensure that both the Boursin cheese and the cream cheese are at room temperature. This is a crucial step to ensure the dip becomes perfectly smooth and airy without any stubborn lumps. If you are in a hurry, you can carefully soften them in the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds, but natural room temperature yields the best results.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the Boursin cheese, cream cheese, and heavy cream. Use a hand mixer or a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment to beat the mixture on medium-high speed for about 2 to 3 minutes. Continue until the mixture is light, fluffy, and has increased slightly in volume.
  3. Reduce the mixer speed to low and add the honey, fresh thyme, and orange zest. Mix just until combined. This step infuses the savory cheese with a subtle citrus note and a hint of herbal freshness that elevates the entire dish for the holiday season.
  4. Using a silicone spatula, gently fold in about two-thirds of the chopped dried cranberries. Do not over-mix, as you want the cranberries to stay suspended in the whipped cheese rather than bleeding color into the white base. Keep the remaining cranberries aside for the final presentation.
  5. Transfer the whipped dip into a shallow serving bowl or spread it onto a small platter. Use the back of a spoon to create decorative swirls on the surface. Top with the remaining dried cranberries, the toasted chopped pecans, and a few extra sprigs of fresh thyme for a beautiful Christmas finish.
